Work has started!
So we have started to transform our old school into a vibrant space for campus start-ups and entrepreneurs. Our first three rooms are underway. Maker Space, Ideation Space and Learning Space.

SFX Startup Weekend! 24th- 26th April
The Startup Foundation delivered their amazing SFX startup weekend on campus, giving 42 students an immersive entrepreneurial experience. Three teams won £1000 start-up grant to test and validate their ideas.
- Super Chopper – Peter Conlin, Credia Ineza and Shahbaz Khan – a business which aggregates online grocery shopping price to deliver the best value shopping basket to your door.
- Your Style – Cotilda Makhumula-Nkhoma and Oliver Cheetham – an app that delivers instant peer-peer feedback on the users clothing and styling choices.
- Tech Help – Will Ridley and Abel Germa – a service that leverages technical knowhow to help older people choose, install and use technology products.
Will Ridley from Tech Help, who is also President of the Students’ Union, said: “It was a fantastic weekend and it was excellent to see these sort of entrepreneurial activities on campus”.
Co-working hours this week:

FREE Professional Team Photo for Start Up weekend teams!
If you’re part of a startup team and would like to a) have a pro team photo taken and b) meet some other local startup teams, sign up to join us on May 15th . We’ll have a professional photographer in the house that day, and all teams will get to take away their team photo for FREE. Very useful for marketing materials, investor packs, press information, websites.
NB, only pre-registered teams will be eligible, no walk-ins.
